Missions

• Examination of documents for import and export with regard to preferences
• Examination of preferential documents for customs clearance of goods upon importation
• Customs-related contract audits and order processing in import and export
• Control of tariff classification (customs tariff numbers) and customs duties within the scope of preference processing
• Contact person for authorities during preference processing and support during customs audits
• Control of compliance with customs authorizations and customs regulations for the approved exporter and REX
• Checking the correctness of declarations of origin and supporting documents via the IT procedure ATLAS
• Control of warehouse management ( proper storage, e.g. in bonded warehouse and bonded warehouse)
• Ensuring traceable archiving of preference-relevant export and import documents
• Verification of trade preferences and determination of customs master data
• Contact person for employees in case of preference-relevant questions
• Technical authority to issue instructions within the scope of preference processing (WuP)

Profile

• Successfully completed commercial vocational training with professional experience in an industrial environment
• Ideally, at least three years of professional experience in export customs clearance in an industrial company
• Knowledge in the application of the customs tariff and in the classification/tariffing of goods
• Very good knowledge of MS-Office
• Accuracy, high process and result orientation as well as good communication skills
• Independent and conscientious way of working, organizational skills and confident appearance
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
