Job Description
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Corporate Accountant for Consolidation (f/m) to join our team, based in Toulouse, France.
The Consolidation teams across Airbus have a key role to play in the preparation of the financial information to be shared with internal and external parties. Consolidation Accountant is responsible for the aggregation of the financial data from the entities and performing the necessary adjustments to obtain the financial statements for Divisions and Airbus ensuring data quality and consistency: Preparation of analysis to support management in the making decision process. Responsible for the relations with auditors at Division/Airbus level. Delivers instructions and timetables to entities ensuring the adherence to the Airbus accounting rules (IFRS, Accounting Manual).

Your Challenges:
- Preparing the monthly and quarterly consolidated figures of ADS in line with IFRS, on time and on quality
- Preparing and performing consolidation top entries, reconciliation of the equity and justification of the P&L and Balance Sheet top entries
- Ensuring that Internal Controls are implemented and followed up at consolidation level
- Working in the project “Consolidation of the Future” on the way to a new consolidation tool
- Supporting the preparation of the Cash Flow as well as Deferred Taxes
- Supporting the entities to ensure the data are received on time and on quality with the target of an earlier closing
- Supporting in organizing and improving the closing process in coordination will all the consolidated entities
- Supporting to ensure steady and consistent application of IFRS accounting regulations and methods
- Supporting the Balance Sheet review of ADS and of all the consolidated entities with a focus on the Balance Sheet exposure together with the central team
- Supporting and collaborating with the central team especially for complex contracts
- Coordinating deliverables with the different entities as well as the subs
- Ensuring a close relationship with the Group as well as other stakeholders such as reporting, treasury, tax
- Preparing trainings for the accounting community
- Supporting all M&A activities for the ADS perimeter as well as other projects impacting the ADS consolidation
Your Profile
- Knowledge of financials, accounting and consolidation processes,
- A solid accounting background and/or education, preferably in international accounting standards,
- Knowledge of compliance risks, mainly financial ones,
- Commitment to act with integrity, to ensure the success of the company, maintain its reputation and ensure sustainable growth,
- Interpersonal skills: active listening, team spirit and a “can-do” attitude,
- International mindset
- An experience abroad would be a plus.
This position exposes the job holder to several processes, companies and senior management within the division and at group level in an international environment.
- Five to ten years of working background in an accounting department of an international enterprise or at an audit firm
- Sound experience in the area group consolidation in an international context, including deferred taxes, cash flow statements and preparation of the notes disclosure
- Profound knowledge in IFRS
- Experienced user in SAP SEM BCS or another consolidation tool
- Good understanding of financial internal control standards
- Knowledge in international taxation is a plus
- Knowledge in Treasury Accounting as well as Cash Management is a plus
- Capacity to work with multiple stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds
- English: fluent / negotiation level, additional languages such as German or French are a plus
