Intership (m/f) Supply Chain High Density Packaging Project, Compiègne

Position description

Phase 1: Lead International benchmark (6 weeks):

• Organize a Survey / Interviews on the field with all the Sekurit Plants in Europe to understand:

  • Specific and different kinds of SEKURIT ‘s products
  • Existing / used racks types
  • Packaging components used
  • Impact of packaging density on transportation and warehousing costs

• To be delivered: Benchmark with a detailed analysis of the current practices (hints and tips to
  share between SGSx worldwide level)

Phase 2: Define models with potential packaging density improvement and start to implement the
changes with local logistics teams (15 weeks):

• Model by model – new packaging specification
• Saving calculation for each change

 To be delivered: Packaging density improvements synthesis + implemented in several plants
(Worldwide)

Phase 3: Elaboration of training materials for Development teams (3 weeks):

• Impact of the density on SG Sekurit costs.
• Which elements of the product impact on packaging density
• Examples of good solutions improving packaging density

 To be delivered: Training materials and analysis done

Profile

• Education: Master of Sciences / Engineer, Supply Chain.
• Softs skills: Communication skills, team player
• Languages: Fluent English is compulsory. French and/or another language (Spanish, German,
• Polish, Czech) would be appreciated
• Computer skills: SAP, Office package
• Duration: 6 months starting August/September 2017.
• Mobility: European countries
