Tasks

  • Lead and manage Purchasing Projects, ensuring delivery of project milestones, cost targets, and sourcing objectives
  • Drive project purchasing and sourcing activities across the Radar platforms in alignment with Valeo Purchasing (P1) processes
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve segment-based purchasing standards across the P1 purchasing network at site level
  • Manage end to end purchasing activities throughout all project phases (RFQ, sourcing, nomination, industrialization)
  • Actively participate in cross-functional project meetings with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management
  • Ensure the application and sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and standardized purchasing methodologies across the purchasing organization
  • Develop, strengthen, and “revitalize” the P1 purchasing network at the site and Product Line level
  • Establish and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide transparency on sourcing activities, cost targets, risks, and supplier performance to senior PL/BG management
  • Support cost optimization, supplier risk management, and localization strategies in line with Valeo’s global purchasing strategy

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with strong business and financial acumen, or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing with a strong technical background, or equivalent qualification
  • Above 5 years of professional experience in Project Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Commodity Purchasing within a manufacturing and/or automotive environment (Tier-1 preferred)
  • Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and sourcing strategy development
  • Knowledge and proven competence in electronics sourcing, semiconductor components, and/or radar sensor sourcing is a strong advantage
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international project teams
  • Solid understanding of product development cycles, industrialization, and automotive project management
  • Strong communication skills, negotiation skills, decision-making ability, and stakeholder management
  • Confident, assertive, and results-oriented mindset
